Castelsardo’s craftwork is known all over the world and is characterised by its use of the dwarf fan palm, whose leaves are used to make beautiful and distinctive baskets.

 

As you stroll through the tiny lanes of the old town, you can still find corners where women can be seen making these precious products with great skill.

 

There are several craft shops which are among the biggest and most well-stocked on the island.
